We all know that Dr. Vendeland and Dr. Chen are masters at creating beautiful and healthy smiles. From crafting “Smile Makeovers” to fit the esthetic desires of the individual patient to providing state-of-the-art family dentistry, they are artful masters of their craft. Many people would like to have the opportunity and convenience of enhancing their appearance beyond their healthy smile so VDP is offering several services to our patients and the community! Besides, it is so appealing and convenient to schedule your dental appointment and your esthetic appointment all in the same place on the same day!

Botox Cosmetic® is an FDA approved treatment for treating lines and wrinkles in the face (specifically the glabellar area – the area between the eyebrows). Having been extensively researched and used throughout the world for cosmetic and medical purposes, it is extremely safe when administered by a trained health care professional.

Dermal fillers, such as Restylane® and Juvéderm®, are products that can make the face appear more youthful by filling in deeper lines and wrinkles. While Botox® relaxes the muscles that can cause the lines and wrinkles, dermal fillers fill in the lines that are either too ingrained to respond fully to Botox® treatments or are in a place that Botox® is not recommended.

Chemical facial peels and Microdermabrasion are cosmetic procedures that can work wonders on the appearance of the skin. As we age, our skin becomes thicker and less radiant. Chemical peels can “peel” off the dead layers of the skin, revealing a softer, more supple and radiant appearance. In addition, chemical peels can fade spots that have developed, usually from ultraviolet ray exposure over time. Microdermabrasion “polishes” the skin and can reduce the appearance of scarring, pigmentation, and pores.

IS Clinical (Innovative Skincare) is a product line that we specifically selected to offer for sale to our clients. It is available only through health care providers. You cannot purchase these products at your local department store! When the products are used on a daily basis, we have seen phenomenal results! Many members of our Dental Team have been using the products and they are thrilled!!

So, who will be performing all of these services? Susan Vendeland, MN, ARNP, BC is a board certified nurse practitioner who has practiced primary care for many years. During the past year, she has taken classes, from beginning to advanced, to learn the techniques of esthetically caring for the skin. In addition, being a nurse practitioner, she can prescribe medications to treat skin conditions such as acne or rosacea.

Everyone has a desire to look and feel his or her best. From teenagers grappling with acne to the client having chemotherapy treatments causing skin changes to the more mature desiring a more youthful appearance, treatments are available and are very affordable!!
