Administrative Team

JILL C, Administrative Manager

Hi! I am Jill, Administrative Manager for VDP. I have been in the dental profession for over 13 years, specializing in explaining treatment needs, insurance benefits and scheduling appointments for our patients. Outside of the office, I share my life with Steve and my three wonderful kids, Jessica, Michael and Miranda (and dog Buddy too!) As a family we enjoy playing and watching soccer, riding snowmobiles and four-wheelers, and hanging out together. I look forward to seeing you soon!

STEPHANIE J., Treatment Coordinator

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I am part of the Administration team here at VDP. I have been in dentistry since 1995 working in all aspects of the office. I am very excited to be Dr. Vendeland and Dr. Chen’s Treatment Coordinator, discussing treatment needs and desires with our patients. My husband, daughter and I live in Maple Valley with our 2 dogs, a Weinaramer named B.G. and an Italian Greyhound named Lucy. We are avid skiers and love going down to Bend, OR to ski Mt. Bachelor. When I am not running my daughter to softball or soccer practice I love to scrapbook, play indoor soccer, softball and shop! I am very proud to be a part of such a wonderful dental family!

JENNIFER A., Scheduling Coordinator

My name is Jennifer! I have been working in the dental field since 2001 and absolutely love what I do! I have a son named Kaeden who was born in 2000. Our home is in Puyallup, where we live with Kaeden’s father Alan, along with our dog Koda. My favorite pastimes include being with family and friends, scrapbooking and looking at pictures. I also like organizing events from weddings to a girls night out! I am so glad to be a part of Vendeland Dental Professionals and look forward to many more years!

LEAH R., Financial Coordinator

Hello, I’m Leah. I am the Financial Coordinator here at VDP. I am a Navy veteran, having served during Desert Storm. I have been in dentistry since 1998 working as an assistant and in the front office. I am married with a step-son named Devin. I also have two dogs, Nyah and Keynei. I’m from the Nez Perce reservation located in Idaho and go back to visit my very large family whenever possible. I also enjoy going camping, dancing, playing basketball and softball, and singing karaoke. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi, and thank you for visiting our website! My name is Kim, and I am a part of the wonderful administrative team at VDP. I began my career in dentistry in 1992, and have been a part of this exceptional dental team since 2002. Along with enjoying time with family, I like to read, hike and volunteer year long with the City of Renton Special Populations program.

Hygiene Team

KATHY E., Hygiene Manager, Registered Dental Hygienist

I earned my dental hygiene degree from Lake Washington Technical College in 1997 and have been working for Dr. Vendeland and Dr. Chen ever since! Prior to that I worked as an accountant for several advertising agencies in Seattle. I love academia and have attended CWU, the University of Texas and the University of Maryland in Europe, along with Lake Washington Tech. I enjoy my profession and find it both challenging and satisfying in helping people gain and maintain optimal oral health. I have two teenage girls that keep me young. We all volunteer for the Kent Animal Shelter by “fostering” kittens and puppies who are too young to be adopted. It has been a great family hobby! I love to travel, cook, read and hike, along with spending time with my kids!

AMY T., Registered Dental Hygienist

Hello, my name is Amy. I started my dental journey over 20 years ago while still in high school. I landed in this exemplary practice in the year 2000. I was searching for a quality, flexible and fun loving office that would allow me to focus on my young family. I have been blessed with two children, Megan and Jack. We are a very active family that enjoys spending time at our “retreat” in Ronald, WA. I love gardening, my critters and of course the Seattle Mariners.

REBECCA R., Registered Dental Hygienist

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I have been a hygienist for Vendeland Dental Professionals since 1983. My kids have left the nest, and now I spend my time working on my new custom-built home in Maple Valley. I also love playing with my Labrador retrievers- Rocky and Kubota. I enjoy bicycling, skiing, kayaking, gardening and wine tasting – reds, of course!

MELISSA W., Registered Dental Hygienist

Hi, my name is Melissa and I am a hygienist here at Vendeland Dental Professionals. I received my Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University in June of 2000. I love working with patients and motivating them to improve their oral health. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two young boys, Alexander and Evan. I also enjoy playing tennis, soccer and taking scenic hikes.

RENATA M., Registered Dental Hygienist

Hello there! My name is Renata and I can be one of your favorite dental hygienists. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist, as well as a Certified Dental Assistant-and proud of it! I was born and raised in Poland and made the United States my second home in 1984. I have been in dentistry since 1989, and supporting Vendeland Dental Professionals since 1990. I am passionate about the dental hygiene profession because it is a never-ending challenge. In my spare time I love spending time with my husband Marek, and our three daughters Nicole, Madeline and Isabella. I also love to read, cook, hike and rollerblade.

LORRI M., Registered Dental Hygienist

I graduated with my dental hygiene degree in 1990. Prior to this I worked as an assistant for three years. As a hygienist, I have gained extensive experience in Periodontology and love what I do. I find great satisfaction in helping people obtain optimal dental health. I am married with 3 young children. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and playing with my kids.

Restorative Team

KELLI B., Assistants Manager, Certified Dental Assistant

I have been in the dental field since 1972 and working for Vendeland Dental Professionals as a dental assistant since 1988. At one point, I took a 10 year hiatus to be with my children, who are now grown. My husband Jim, of 34 years, and I enjoy our grandson Hayden a great deal. Because of our wonderful patients and staff I’ve had a lot of fun and fulfillment throughout the years. I enjoy cooking, being a grandma, and spending time with family at our property in Montana.

DEANNA S., Certified Dental Assistant

Hello, I’m Deanna. I have been a dental assistant for over 20 years. I attended Lake Washington Technical College where I earned my degree in Dental Assisting, after earning my AA at Bellevue Community College. As a Seattle native, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, boating and bicycling. I love to travel and also enjoy wine, art and jazz.

Hi, my name is Melissa. I am a Certified Dental Assistant. I became a CDA in June of 1997, and began working for Vendeland Dental Professionals in April of 2000. A few of the things I love about VDP are the smiles, energy and consistent learning environment. I am married, with a stepson, Cody, and two young daughters, Kaitlyn and Hailey. I love to scrapbook and throw “Scrapbooking Parties”!

SUSAN M., Certified Dental Assistant

Hi, I’m Susan. I am a dental assistant here at VDP and have been working in the dental field since 1996. I enjoy seeing the positive impact that our great dental care can have on our patient’s lives. I was born and raised in the Seattle area. I married my college sweetheart in 1993, and we have been very blessed to have a daughter Ava, and a son Aiden. In my free time I enjoy traveling, skiing, scrapbooking or sitting down with a good book.

SARAH M., Hygiene Assistant

Hi, I’m Sarah and I am a hygiene assistant for Vendeland Dental Professionals. I am new to the dental field as of 2005. Currently, I am working on my prerequisites in hopes to go into hygiene school along with working part time. I have a daughter, Jayden, who I love spending my free time with. Some of my hobbies include flying wingless gliders and practicing rope-less rock climbing. I am currently qualifying for one-legged kickboxing!!!

REBECCA K., Hygiene Assistant

Hi, I am Rebecca and I am a hygiene assistant for Vendeland Dental Professionals. I am soon to be enrolled in community college courses to get ready for dental hygiene school. Away from work I adore music, the arts, and above all the outdoors. I enjoy biking, boating, hiking and laughing, along with the good company of family and friends.
